Watertown Middle School Reading Club

Thank you all for your input on the survey. Listed below are your highest-rated activities:

1. Book to Movie (Read the book, then watch the movie version.)
2. Read and Discuss (We all read the same book, then meet to discuss it.)
3. Book Blog (You post comments, book reviews, etc. on this blog.)
4. Be the Change (We read a book on a topic, then do a service-related project.)
5. Book Bytes (I send you book excerpts, reviews, etc. by email.)
6. Author, Author (Read a book of your own choice, then write a letter to the author.)
7. Adopt an Author (Read a book of your own choice, all from a chosen author.)
8. Think Like a Kid (Read and discuss favorite children’s books.)

There was no major opposition to any of these options, so I hope everyone will be willing to participate in whichever activities we do.

We will meet on Friday, Oct. 17 at 8:10 in room 22. We will choose our first book for “Read and Discuss” and hand out books at this meeting, so please try and be there. If you are attending the newspaper club meeting at 8:00, just come when that is done.
